In Sweden we celebrate midsummers eve with dancing around a maypole decorated with the flowers that are in bloom. We eat a lot and drink ‘nubbe’ and sing bawdy songs and just celebrate the beginning of summer with loved ones. Since I’m not in Sweden this year I decided to do a flower wreath on my nails instead with seasonal flowers.
I started with a gradient of OPI Chillin like a villain, Essie Love every Minute and OPI Kiss me I’m Brazilian.
- Start with painting the leaves on the wreath.
- Outline them with darker green.
- Fill the wreath with all the flowers you want, I opted for some typical Swedish midsummer flowers such as marguerites, cornflowers and lilacs.
- Finish with your favorite top coat.
Good luck and have a wonderful midsummers eve to you who celebrate it!
