Midsummer flower wreath

Midsummer nails, tutorial

In Sweden we celebrate midsummers eve with dancing around a maypole decorated with the flowers that are in bloom. We eat a lot and drink ‘nubbe’ and sing bawdy songs and just celebrate the beginning of summer with loved ones. Since I’m not in Sweden this year I decided to do a flower wreath on my nails instead with seasonal flowers.

I started with a gradient of OPI Chillin like a villain, Essie Love every Minute and OPI Kiss me I’m Brazilian.

  1. Start with painting the leaves on the wreath.
  2. Outline them with darker green.
  3. Fill the wreath with all the flowers you want, I opted for some typical Swedish midsummer flowers such as marguerites, cornflowers and lilacs.
  4. Finish with your favorite top coat.

Good luck and have a wonderful midsummers eve to you who celebrate it!
