Oh how I love these little characters that were created by as an ad campaign to increase safety around trains from Metro trains in Melbourne, Australia. They became a viral phenomenon and even turned in to an app with a game where you are supposed to save the little guys from certain death by doing really dumb stuff.

When my kids showed this to me I got totally hooked. I suck at the game so I’m constantly killing the little fellows, but they are so adorable in all their morbidity so of course I wanted to put them on my nails. Again I paired up with Danielle, who fell in love with the guys as well. We started by presenting some of the characters alive and introducing the genius hashtag #somanidumbwaystodie that Danielle came up with. See the pun there? Haha, maybe we enjoy it more than anyone else. But it’s a good thing to be able to entertain one self too.

Then we chose characters to start telling stories with, and it just happened that we started with the first characters in the song. “Set fire to your hair, poke a stick at a grizzly bear…” The hashtag is meant to encourage others to join, we want to see more manis with these. If you tag we can see yours too, and it would be so much fun to have others join too.
